Hello One & All!
Hope everyone had a good break and is ready for another term of good Jitsu! It seems like the terms only just begun but that dates are already looming!!!
With that in mind i'm sending this email containing a few quick points:
Firstly, the Randori Nationals are being held this year, again in Birmingham (well...Telford!) and Gareth at the Jitsu Foundation is asking for numbers. The nationals are taking place on the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of March, and we'll be travelling up on the Friday night again. Its a really cheap weekend for competition entry, training and two nights accommodation, costing between £30-£35!! Bargain! To work out the exact costing we need to know exact numbers by the 11th February at the latest! However the sooner the better!!!
These nationals follow the same style as the Atemi Nationals, in that there is training in the morning and competitions in the afternoons!! However, the competition this term is actually more based upon Judo style ground fighting - stuff we'll be practicing this term!!!
It's a great weekend and really essential training especially if your hoping to grade the following weekend!!
Secondly, this applies more to our MIA members- those we haven't seen for a while!! Come back! We miss you!! Seriously, its a new term and there are new opportunities to grade at get back on the mat! So if you maybe tried it and stopped and weren't sure about picking it up again, come along!!
Current members maybe if you know of any friends who might be interested in trying it out, bring them along!!! Remember that the first session is free to try!!!
Finally, this Friday there will be what's called ReFreshers Fair which is simillar to the one at the beginning of the year! It takes place (weather allowing) between 12-4pm and we'll have a stall in one of the squares. If anyone could spare some time to chat to possible recruits it'd be really helpful - tell them why you've enjoyed Jitsu this year!!!
Cheers all, if there are any questions then please email me or grab me before or after a session!
Kind regards,
Matt
